The 2nd trimester will end on Friday, February 14th. Report cards will be sent home Friday, February
Writing
Your child should be working hard on writing a complete sentence. The sentence should start with a capital letter, have finger spacing and end with the correct punctuation mark. We are also working hard on sounding out (stretching out the word) simple cvc words (consonant vowel consonant) such as cat, map, pig, hen, etc. These skills need to be used daily in their work at school as well as their homework at home.
Reading
Your child needs to be reading their leveled reader each night. Please sign the communication sheet and write the title after they have read the book and completed the task for that night. Please return the book bag in your child’s Communication Folder each night.
Scholastic Book Order
Please send a check or a money order for all book orders made to scholastic books. I cannot accept cash.
